About This Blog

The Urban Druid was designed to share experiences of living a druidic lifestyle in a metropolitan area.  It doesn't matter where you are, you can create your own space in a chaotic, power-driven world.

I will not preach or try to convert anyone to becoming a druid.  This blog is merely for those who wish to connect or learn with me.  You will find your own place in the world, and chances are it won't align.  That's fine, your life is yours.

Any comments that are offensive, proselytic, political, demeaning to groups/sexes/races, or advertising will be deleted.  Any comments with outside links will be deleted.  Violent or pornographic photos will be deleted.  Please keep it friendly and open, this is a hate-free blog.

Mentions of "Her" in posts

I do not follow any specific deity or religion. When you see mentions of "Her/She" I am in fact referring to the power that is nature. I find that nature controls herself, and I wish to aid and protect her from the poison that humanity has become. She offered us much and we in return gave her our waste. I only seek to live in harmony with the natural balance.

I mention this here as this will be apparent in some of the rituals and practices I talk about; many pagan practices offer tribute to a god, gods, or other entities of power. The most formal address I will use is the Earth Mother, or the Mother of Earth, but this is referring, once again, to nature's course. This should not be confused with some deity's that are known by a similar or same title.

About Ry

Born in Central NY, USA, I found myself traversing from the East Coast to the West Coast.  After a lengthy stint making my way through Utah, Idaho, and the rest of the North-West region, I found myself living back in the Detroit, Michigan area and settled my roots.  While fulfilling the wanderlust I had been caught up in, I found a group of pagans who showed me what they practiced.  Now here we are.

I share my living space with the only man I need in my life:
Captain
